One of the reasons we left Texas a little earlier than we had planned was we had made reservations in early May at Yellowstone National Park. This would be our third visit to this magnificent park.
As we approached the mountains, we could see lots of snow.
We made our way into the park and crossed by this alpine field with some snow patches.
We have six nights reserved at Madison Campground. There are no hookups, but after spending 12 days at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque last year with no hookups, we knew we could handle it. We don't have cell service or internet, but we did find a bit of sky and have Dish. :)
As soon as we were set up, we headed towards West Yellowstone, to see what animals we could spot. Almost immediately, we spied this elk cow in the river.
Next, a bison resting by the river. I just think they are so majestic looking.
We drove by some the steaming springs We love all the different features Yellowstone offers.
We ended the evening at the Old Faithful Inn dining room for dinner.
Another wonderful day!
So jealous. I remember being there at the same time as you in 2012.
