Glacier National Park - West Glacier

We left Yellowstone on Saturday and traveled to Deer Lodge, Montana staying at a Coast to Coast RV Park.  We didn't do much but enjoy getting back to full hookups and catching up on laundry.

Monday, we headed to Columbia Falls, Montana.  Another nice thing about traveling here in the off season is there are Passport America discounts until June 1.  We knew we were going to have a 2 day window with beautiful weather so we headed to Columbia Falls RV Park for 3 days.

We woke up Tuesday morning to blue skies and sunshine and headed to Glacier National Park.

 Only the first 17 miles of the Going to the Sun Road were open, but that's ok, what we saw was glorious!

We went as far as we could go, Avalanche Creek.  We had a picnic lunch there and walked a little way past the roadblock.  You can hike or bike past the barricade.

We are so glad we finally got to visit this park.
