Watson Lake To Johnson's Crossing

We left Watson Lake this morning not sure of our next destination.  We have found if we stop around 2 or 3 in the afternoon we have not had a problem so far in finding a campsite.

I have the Milepost 2016 and refer to that on our way to see if there may be a place we may want to stop.  It's also good about telling you where pullouts and rest areas are in case you need to stop for awhile.

85 miles down the road would be Rancheria Falls Recreation Area with an area big enough to turn our motorhome and toad around.

There was a boardwalk going through the boreal forest to

the Rancheria Waterfalls.  We spent about 30 minutes there taking the walk to the falls and then looking at it from the different viewpoints.

We thought we might stop in Teslin, a cute, little town nestled by the lake below.

We did stop at the Teslin Tlingit Heritage Center to learn more about the native culture.

Our last stop was in Johnson's Crossing, an original roadhouse on the Alaskan Highway.  They have a little rv park which we stopped at for the night.  They are well know for their cinnamon rolls, but unfortunately they were out of them while we were there. :(
