Thousand Trails Medina Lake & Pickleball

February 5, 2012
We are coming to the end of our stay at this Thousand Trails at Medina Lake. I can't believe how fast the last two weeks have gone by! The second day we were here, Jim went to check out the Pickleball game at 10:00. We saw there was a Pickleball court at another Thousand Trails, we had no idea what it was.
Jim played with a wonderful couple and was hooked. He asked me to come watch the next day. I had absolutely no plans on playing. I went to the court and watched and was encouraged to join in and I was hooked. We ordered our paddles the next day.  We then played with two other couples the next two weeks. Thanks Russ and Jodi for introducing us and Paul and Carol, we had a blast playing with all of you! If we weren't playing Pickleball, we were recuperating from our marathon games.  The six of us also shared several happy hours, ice cream socials, and dinners at Rudy's Bar B Que and Mi Pueblo. What is Pickleball?  It's a mix between racquetball, ping pong, and tennis all rolled into one. Here's a video demonstrating it:
