Last Day At Goliad

Today was our last day at Goliad State Park and probably the prettiest, warmest day we have had since we arrived.  We have had lots of rain, but the whole state needs it desperately.

The first thing we did was visit with our neighbors who also had two pugs, so we literally had a pugfest as the boys played.

Ernie, Chester and Rudy on Jim's lap

Chester & Roscoe

After that, we wanted to ride both bike trails one more time. Before we left, we visited another neighbor who had her birds out enjoying the weather. They were gorgeous!!!

They also showed their wings off for us!

Now off for the bike ride!  There are two trails. The first goes to town along the San Antonio River.

Once we got to town, we rode around the town square. There is a great courthouse right in the center.

We then went back and across the other direction to the Presidio La Bahia.  We rode the bridge over the river.

We took the trail to the top

 And then around the fort

It was a great day and has been a wonderful two weeks here.
