Telkeetna is a cute, little town. I was told the series Northern Exposure was based on this town.
There are neat decorations
and quaint cabins everywhere.
We even passed this great setup that is used to make homemade ice cream.
These colorful mushrooms were just outside our motorhome at the rv park.
Our last morning in Telkeetna was the clearest we had seen in probably 9 days. We decided to make one last trip to the river to see if the mountain was out.
And there she was veiled in clouds, but could be seen.
We were there for awhile talking to some other people when we realized the clouds were moving to the east away from the mountains.
We decided to go to another overlook at the edge of town thinking we may get a full blown view of the mountain.
When we got there, one tiny sliver of cloud was left.
Going, going
Gone! The mountain was in full view! It was glorious!
We were probably there almost an hour watching and everyone that stopped was almost giddy just to be able to see this view.
We felt so fortunate that we were able to see it.
Yee ha. Good for you.
