Taking It Easy In Wauchula

After eight days of nonstop fun at Walt Disney World, we made the eighty mile drive to Wauchula, Florida to spend the next week taking it easy.

We have gotten a little further south and it looks like the next wave of bad weather will miss us.  We have been enjoying days in the eighties.  Jim has found the pickle ball players and has been enjoying games every day.

There is a nature trail here with a couple of resident alligators.

We were planning on attending Howard and Linda Payne's RV-Dreams Boondocking Rally next week, but now we're not sure if we will be able to go.  We had a small leak at the valve from the gray tank.  We thought it would be a simple repair.  While at the Thousand Trails Orlando, we had a mobile tech look at it.  Of course, no simple fix.  Because the pipes to the tank are glued in, the entire tank has to be replaced. DRV did not use this size tank any more, so a new one had to be made from their distributor.  That took two weeks and it has now been shipped to Kissmmee for installation.  We're hoping to have it begun on Monday, but not sure how long it will take since we are also working with extended warranty and the fact that they will have to send an inspector during the process.

We're hoping we will be able to attend the Boondocking Rally at least a couple of days, but that's o.k., we have definitely learned to be flexible.  We'll enjoy this warm weather!

  1. I enjoyed meeting you at the boon docking rally - sure glad you could make it after all. I will look forward to our paths crossing again as we go down the highway. Don't you just love Disney? I am always in awe when I go there.
