It's hard to believe I haven't written for more than a month! Time just gets away! We have been in Austin this past month spending the holidays with family and connecting with our granddaughters.
There have been sleepovers
A trip to the Austin Zoo
And creating a cupcake masterpiece
We even saw some of the sights in Austin. One day we took the Ducks tour and learned about Austin
We also toured the state capitol building. We had been here before, but it had been many years before. We had a beautiful day to see this wonderful place.
We also met our friends Byron and Linda for dinner. We had fun catching up and reminiscing. We have known them since college, Jim was their best man and Byron was our best man at our weddings. Let's not wait another year before we do it again!
The weather has been really great this month. We have had some days where we have to run our air conditioning. Our heat pump has kept us warm. There have probably only been 2 days below 30 this month. We love warm weather!
It's been great being close to the kids, but it's time to move on. We're heading to Canyon Lake for a few days before we spend a couple of weeks a little further south at the Thousand Trails at Medina Lake.
